Phosphate Buffered Saline Tablets (PBS) are a balanced salt mixture for easy PBS buffer preparation for a variety of applications including reagent preparation, diluting cells for flow cytometry and cell culture reagent.
- No need for weighing and mixing chemicals
- Simply dissolve PBS tablets into water
- One tablet dissolved in 100 mL water yields buffer containing 0.01M phosphate, 0.0027M KCl and 0.137M NaCl, pH ~7.4 at 25°C
Key Applications: Immunoassays; Cell Culture Applications; Molecular Biology Applications
Application Notes: Phosphate Buffered Saline tablets have been specifically developed for use in immunoassay procedures.
Format: Tablets
Media type: PBS
pH: 7.3 - 7.5 (1 tablet/100 mL water)
Solubility: Dissolve 1 tablet in 100 mL distilled water. Autoclave for 10 minutes at 115°C. The pH will be in the range 7.3 - 7.5. The buffer can be adjusted as desired with dilute HCl or NaOH.
