These Application Thermometers provide a mercury-free alternative to ASTM mercury thermometers. They provide the same performance as a mercury thermometer, but use a blue liquid formula, which is non-toxic non-caustic, nonhazardous and biodegradable; and, meet or exceed the ASTM E2251 specifications for accuracy and tolerance of uncertainty. These thermometers are supplied with a one-point certification in accordance with ASTM E7 standards.
