Lactobacillus MRS HiVeg™ broth (MRS HiVeg™ broth) is recommended for cultivation of all Lactobacilli. Sodium acetate and ammonium citrate inhibit Streptococci, molds and many other microorganisms. Lactobacillus MRS HiVeg™ broth (MRS HiVeg™ broth) is prepared by using vegetable peptones in place of animal based peptones which make the media free of BSE/TSE risks.
Application: For Laboratory Chemicals, Analytical Purpose, Biochemical Analysis
- Appearance: Cream to yellow homogeneous free flowing powder, having tendency to form soft lumps which can be easily broken down to powder form
- Color and Clarity of prepared medium: Light amber colored, clear to slightly opalescent solution in tubes
- Reaction: Reaction of 5.51% w/v aqueous solution at 25°C. pH : 6.5±0.2
- Cultural Response: Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35-37°C for 18-24 hours or longer (with 5% CO2)
