The new IsoBlock from Benchmark contains two isolated block chambers. Each chamber is controlled independently, allowing the dry bath to serve as two dry baths in one. The hinged (and removeable) lid is designed with a dividing wal, when the lid is closed this dividing wall acts as a barrie, preventing air transfer between chambers. The control panel features large digital displays of both time and temperature. At any point, either setting of a block can be adjusted, without affecting the setting of the other block.
A wide variety of blocks are available for accomodating nearly all popular tube sizes. In addition, the unique Quick-Flip™ univarsal blocks accept tube sizes from 0.5mL to 2.0mL and, with a just a quick flip to the other side, accomodate 0.2mL tubes and PCR strips.
External Temperature Probe
Benchmark's myBlock series of Dry Baths incorporate a port for the use of this optional, external temperature feedback probe. Used for monitoring and controlling actual sample temperature, the probe can be placed directly in a sample tube with direct feedback to the control circuit and temperature display.
Quick-Flip Block
Both the single and dual block models can be ordered in a configuration that includes our unique Quick-Flip™ blocks. These universal blocks accept tubes from 0.5 to 2.0ml and, with just a quick flip to the other side, accomodate 0.2ml tubes, PCR strips or (in the dual block model only) a PCR plate. Other blocks are available for tubes up to 50ml.
