Biochem Physiol Actions: GET4 (Golgi to ER traffic protein 4) is mainly involved in the DNA damage response pathway. It forms a stable nuclear BAG6 (BCL2-associated athanogene 6) complex by binding to BAG6 and UBL4A (ubiquitin-like protein 4A), which plays an essential role in DDR signaling and damage-induced cell death pathways. GET3, GET5 and GET4 form another complex, which interacts with a chaperone YDJ1 to perform in the insertion of tail-anchored proteins.
