FAM83G (family with sequence similarity 83 member G) is a SMAD1-interacting protein, and is a member of the putative protein family FAM83A-H. This family is characterized by DUF1669 domain, which is a conserved N-terminal domain of unknown function. This domain contains a hypothetical pseudo-phospholipase D motif.
