Anti-Chicken egg albumin (ovalbumin) antibody, Mouse monoclonal, (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma OVA-14 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with purified chicken egg albumin. The product reacts with turkey egg albumin, but not with serum albumin of the following species: chicken, turkey, human, bovine, pig, donkey, goat, sheep, horse, dog, cat, guinea pig, rabbit, rat, mouse, and pigeon.Ovalbumin (323-339) is the most abundant egg white protein surrounded by B-cell epitopes, which are bound by specific IgE antibodies. In addition, it also contains CD4+ T cell epitopes. Ovalbumin is a monomeric protein with a molecular mass of 45000Da.

Biochem Physiol Actions: Ovalbumin (OVA) peptide 323-339 mediates 25-35% of T-cell response to intact OVA in isolated BALB/c mouse. OVA 323-339 has been widely used to determine the characteristics of class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-peptide binding and T-cell activation.
